Professional Experience & Leadership in Mycology

With nearly 50 years of international experience, Professor Kevin Hyde has held key academic positions in Asia and Australia and has led major fungal research centers that have had a lasting impact on mycology and plant pathology. He established the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research at Mae Fah Luang University, making it one of the world’s top institutes in mycology. He is also the founder of leading journals in the field—Fungal Diversity and Mycosphere. Professor Kevin Hyde maintains active collaborations with all major mycological institutes worldwide, driving global advancements in fungal research and was the President of the Asian Mycological Association (2007 – 2011).
